Candles holders tutorial
With warm summer weather coming we are anxious to do some outdoor entertaining. What better way to make battery powered votive candles fancy for an evening gathering than these super easy, handmade tissue votive holders. Keep reading to see the full instructions
Wrap the cups in plastic wrap
Cut strips of tissue paper in stacks of three, about 1 inch wide and about 4 inches long
Put a thin layer of mod podge on top of the plastic wrapped cup and start laying the tissue paper on top, overlapping slightly. You can periodically add a touch of mod podge on top to hold them in place. Continue until the cup is covered in a complete circle and then add a final layer of mod podge on top.
Wait at least 4 hours to dry and then wiggle the tissue paper and plastic wrap off the cup.
I left the plastic wrap on, if you're able to pull it off without disrupting the shape; more power to you. Cut triangles in the tissue paper to make a floral kind of shape around the sides.
Place a battery powered votive inside each for gorgeous table setting for a summer evening party!
